Stacey Solomon – Where It All Started
Stacey Solomon, the 20 year old single mum from Dagenham, Essex has come a long way from her days serving up fish and chips at a local restaurant. She first came into the public eye when she appeared on the first show of X Factor Live Auditions shocking everyone with an angelic rendition of Louis Armstrong’s What A Wonderful World. “I’m rarely surprised, but I have to be completely honest with you, that performance took me by surprise. I think you are really, really good.” replied Simon Cowell Just as surprised was X Factor Judge Cheryl Cole telling Stacey:”I don’t know why I had a pre-conceived idea but I didn’t think it would be that good. Thank you.”
Currently studying for a National Diploma in Performing Arts at Havering College of Further and Higher Education, she has had to juggle studying and working part time in local pub all whilst looking after her baby boy, Zachary. Stacey says “I didn’t dream of having kids so young, but my parents were really good about it. Now, I want Zachary to be proud of me.” When asked what winning the competition would mean to Stacey, she replied “It would mean everything. I’d be able to get Zachary into a good school and get him all the things he needed. Single motherhood is tough, but I’m determined to be the one that provides for my son.” With such focus and determination coupled with her very obvious talent it’s no wonder Stacey Solomon is being touted as a hot favorite to follow in the footsteps of Alexandra Burke and win this years show.
Another karaoke singer, average people vote for average and hate anyone who is outstanding. Of course Stacey will win, she is faaar from being oustanding and talented.
Stacey’s not a karaoke singer! She’s a rare kind of beautiful, in and outside. People like her make this ugly world a bit better to live in. She stole my heart.
Stacey should have won, brave enough to take on the most difficult songs and such a lovely person too.

Oxford love stacey. My fav from the beginning! The winner in my eyes. I love the way she talks. Always makes me laugh. Agree that she would do a good power of love. Her albums guna be awesome. Danii doesn’t get enough credit , the best judge by far!
hiya, by the way i dont use my email so that is old. But anyways i am staceys biggest fan and she should have won. She had the best personality and the best voice i watched every video diary she done and she is sooo funny. i wanted her to win since i seen her audition I LOVE STACEY!! I am from the same place as joe mcellrdy and i still wanted stacey to win, that shows she really conected with the audience and should of won. She is my role model and she should be every girls because she has had a child at such a young age and still chases her dream as well as being an amazing mam. I love her and the cheesecake she made looked so nice, haha lol i watched every thing she has put on youtube and she is hilarious. And she had a food fight with jedward. AMAZING!!
